I would like to be a mathematics tutor because of my interest in mathematics, I enjoy solving mathematical problem and working through mathematical proofs. I believe this role as a tutor will help me to gain confidence in communicating Mathematics. I would be able to develop strong organisational and interpersonal skills that will be of benefit for my future career. I believe it is important to communicate my subject (Mathematics) as the general attitude in students towards Mathematics is generally poor. As a communicator of Mathematics, I can be a positive impact on pupils and teachers, especially on pupils interested in Mathematics. I volunteered from January 2015 – March 2015 at Volunteer, Beaumont Leys School, Leicester. I worked as part of a team to help the students achieve the targets for their exams. I also advised and assisted students, recommended possible learning techniques and maintaining a friendly yet efficient service.
