Jade l.
Private tutor in Nottingham, United Kingdom
Education
Im Currently studying Psychology at Nottingham Trent university, i am in my 2nd year, and hoping to gain a 1st by year 3. I gained 4 A levels in Religious studies (C) Health and social care (AB) and psychology (c). I also gained 12 GCSEs A*-B.
Experience
In high school I participated as a peer listener which involved teaching year 7 students who were struggling, I also worked in a primary school for 6 months when i was 18 helping those children who were struggling more than others. My brother is dyslexic and my sister has dyscalculia so I am experienced in trying to teach children with those sorts of learning disabilities. I would like to be a tutor as i know how hard it is sometimes to be struggling with your work even though you're trying your best. I would like to think that tutoring would help a child feel more confident and be able to trust themselves to have a go. I have taken a course in peer mentoring at university which provided us with information to help successfully provide other students with the ability to learn themselves. I also am part of the SSCC which connects tutors with students when a certain way they are teaching a class isn't working for their learning style and together with the co-operation of all parties they find a way to compromise and make learning better for everyone.

Hobbies
I am a bubbly individual who strives on doing well. I enjoy reading, outdoor activities and love helping others. When i qualify i would like to become a clinical psychologist and help people in my job, to do this i will be completing a masters degree in psychology. I have 2 brothers and a sister and so know how to deal with younger children and older ones. I am an enthusiastic learner and like to pass on this enthusiasm to others to make them see how much fun learning can be- even though it does sound cheesy, it really does work!
